THIRST is a work for nine dancers structured on themes originally drawn from Dante’s Inferno. Themes of desire, greed, punishment, incessant chase, loss of self, and the questions these raise about the role of suffering and the nature of hell opened the way for deeper investigation into the process of living a human life.

The score for THIRST is composed by Jerome Begin, featuring cellist Loren Dempster.  The score is written for cello, synthesizer, and various sound-producing objects, all amplified and processed electronically.  Lighting design by Brian Jones.
